Data released this Tuesday (8) by the National Federation of Private Pensions and Life (Fenaprevi), show that premiums and contributions in open private pension plans in 2021 grew 11.2% compared to the previous year, exceeding R$ 138 billion.
Gross funding in December was the highest of the year, reaching BRL 15 billion, although about 12% lower than the result obtained in 2020. Assets reached BRL 1.07 trillion, according to the federation.
The survey also pointed out that redemptions increased 25.2% in the period, totaling R$ 103.4 billion in the year. After deducting the redemption of contributions, the sector obtained a balance of R$ 35 billion in net funding.
According to Fenaprevi, among the plan options, the majority opted for the Vida Gerador de Vantagens Livres (VGBL), with 90.9%; followed by the Free Benefit Generating Plan (PGBL), with 8.4% and the Traditional/others (0.7%). The predominant modality is Individual plans (88.6%), then Collective plans (9.8%) and also those for Minors (1.6%).
