The Federal Police (PF) disrupted this Thursday (20) a criminal organization specializing in international cocaine trafficking . The group used logistics companies to hide the drug in frozen food intended for export.
According to investigations, criminals took advantage of access to information about vessels and commercial routes to insert the narcotic in containers without the knowledge of legitimate companies. The scheme operated from ports in Santa Catarina and Paraná, to Africa countries.
Today’s operation meets 14 search and seizure warrants and 10 arrest warrants in Santa Catarina, Paraná and São Paulo. In addition, vehicles, real estate and bank accounts linked to 17 individuals and legal entities were kidnapped. Among the targets are cooptators, financial operators and criminal scheme financiers.

The PF identified that the group’s financial core moved approximately R $ 450 million between 2022 and 2024. The illicit money circulated through facade companies to make payments to corrupted employees viable and maintain the criminal operation.
Investigated people may be responsible for international drug trafficking, criminal organization and money laundering. Investigations are still in progress.
