This Friday morning (27), the Federal Police served five arrest warrants and ten search and seizure warrants against a group suspected of planning prisoner rescues and trying to destabilize the Ceará prison system.

This Friday’s operation is an offshoot of Operation DEFCON 4, carried out in November 2023. At the time, a criminal organization was discovered involving attacks on the penitentiary system, including the planning of escapes from prison units.
