On Saturday (22), at 5:30 am in Brasília time, there were already half a million people waiting to watch the live of SEVENTEEN’s ‘FOLLOW’ TO SEOUL tour’s second day of concert, including the CNN Brazil .
On July 21 and 22, the K-pop group delivered two days of concerts at the Gocheok Sky Dome stadium in Seoul. Those who were not in the capital of South Korea or did not get tickets that were quickly sold out, had the option to buy the live broadcast on the WEVERSE platform, which had more than 1.2 million people watching simultaneously (more than 15 Maracanãs!).
The show started at 6 am – 6 pm in South Korea – with eleven members gradually emerging from the depths of the stage in an elevator. Then, everything went dark and a 12th member, Woozi, appeared behind them being illuminated as he floated dangling from a structure.
Thus began the performance of “Super”, a song full of energy that has an elaborate choreography. The beat, especially when they sing “Da-rum-da-rim-da”, reminds Brazilian fans of forró. Would SEVENTEEN one day be willing to learn a few steps of this Brazilian musical genre?
It is worth remembering that in the two days of the show, member Seungkwan was not present for health reasons. Owner of a powerful voice and known for being the “mood maker” of the group, his absence was felt by the members and fans alike.
The audience’s dress code was even orange in honor of the singer. In case you’re not familiar with K-pop, fans often choose emojis that represent the artists. Seungkwan’s is a tangerine, a fruit that is a specialty of Jeju Island, where he was born. For this reason, the color orange also refers to him.
At one point during the show, The8 shouted “We miss you”, while the other members and the audience followed with “Seungkwan!”. Later, when they went to take a picture, Wonwoo hugged an empty space to represent him.

In between the performances, which included hits like “Clap” and “Don’t Wanna Cry,” S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Vernon, and Dino always interacted with fans—including those watching at home via the broadcast.
At one point, shy Wonwoo was asked to dance to “Super Shy” by girl group New Jeans. The request came from the success of a TikTok challenge in which he and Hoshi did the choreography and fans found it adorable. Check out:
But why are there 13 members and not 17 in SEVENTEEN? At first, the idea was for the name to be related to their number, but in the end thirteen artists were selected. Currently, the account is said to have 13 members + 3 units + 1 group = 17.
Units are smaller formations within the same group. In the case of SEVENTEEN, they are divided into Vocal, Performance and Hip Hop teams, and there are moments in the show dedicated to each of them.

The vocal unit, formed by Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK and Seungkwan (who was absent), showed all the talent of their voices in the songs “Dust” and “Pinwheel” – with the right to a stage rotating in 360º.

Hoshi, Jun, The8 and Dino, from the performance team, got sensual with “HIGHLIGHT” and “I Don’t Understand But I Love You” dressed in suits.

The Hip Hop unit, formed by S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu and Vernon, entered the stage with a monster truck to perform “Back It Up” and “Fire”.
The feeling you get when watching them is that they are having fun on stage and doing what they love. There were cute moments, like DK trying to kiss Woozi on the cheek, and funny ones, like the prank they played on Mingyu.
The mastermind behind it all was Jeonghan, who isn’t called “SEVENTEEN’s Loki” for nothing. Just like the Norse god of trickery, the singer loves to pull pranks. According to what was said at the concert, he created a chat with all the members except Mingyu to change the choreography of “Left & Right” and let him jump alone in the final step.

The last song of the night was the fun “아주 NICE”, which, despite having just over three minutes, its performance lasted almost half an hour at the end of the show. That’s because the artists wanted to repeat the chorus all the time and they did it 16 times, always at the passionate request of the audience.
In the end, SEVENTEEN played a concert lasting 3h45 full of energy, emotion and declarations of love to the fans. In September, it will be Japan’s turn to receive them on more dates. There is the expectation that one day they will announce their first visit to Brazil.
