OPPO introduced Watch 3 Pro: the world’s first smartwatch powered by Snapdragon W5 Gen 1

Today, August 10, OPPO officially unveiled its new Watch 3 Pro smartwatch to the world, which is the first device in the world based on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor, created using 4nm technology. In addition, the manufacturer decided to go further by releasing to the world a smart watch with a display using LTPO technology – dynamic frame rate adjustment is supported in a very wide range. The company said that if the watch screen is not used, then the screen refresh rate drops to 1 Hz – due to this, it is possible to save up to 15% of the battery compared to a conventional AMOLED screen.

At the same time, the display diagonal is also impressive – 1.91 inches with a resolution of 496 × 378 pixels with a maximum brightness of 1000 cd / m2. Naturally, there is support for the Always-On Display mode and many dials to effectively implement this feature. And the watch also works not only on the basis of Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 (this is the main chip), but also on Apollo 4 Plus – this is an interesting solution that allows you to save even more energy. The fact is that the Apollo 4 Plus chip takes over control if the watch is idle or in scenarios where a lot of computing power is not needed.

Accordingly, the autonomy of OPPO Watch 3 Pro is really decent – if you activate all the functions of the device, including eSIM, NFC, real-time heart rate monitoring and more, then the device will work for 5 days on a single charge. But if the gadget is not used so actively and some functions that the owner does not use are disabled, then the battery life will be up to 15 days. For a watch with such a huge screen, this is an impressive figure. Moreover, fast charging technology is even supported here – in ten minutes on a wire, the watch receives energy for 24 hours of active work.

For sports fans, the manufacturer has implemented as many as one hundred training modes, so Watch 3 Pro with heart rate, SpO2 and ECG sensors allows you to monitor your health at a fairly high level. And taking into account the fact that the weight of the device is only 37 grams, it will be more than comfortable to play sports with a watch on your hands.

The OPPO Watch 3 Pro costs a lot – for the version with a rubber strap, the manufacturer asks for $ 280, while the analog with a leather strap costs $ 295. However, for the top processor, large screen and battery life, the price is more than justified.
