The leader of the opposition in Venezuela, María Corina Machado, published this Sunday (31), a video on X in which he reiterates the request for clean and free elections in the country.
In the video, Machado says that “Maduro cannot choose the candidate he will face in the presidential election” and that this will not be allowed.
The opponent of the Venezuelan regime recalls that on October 22, Venezuelans voted and did so to end “the old policy and in favor of change.” “We have a mandate and we will not allow them to betray it”, added Machado.
María Corina also stated that the Venezuelan people have a great opportunity and now is the time to move forward with determination.
“We have reason and strength. We have the people and a great opportunity and there are only 122 days until the election,” she said. “They are not going to do whatever they want, stopping us, changing the rules, violating the Constitution,” he added.
The opponent said she wants to insist that this is the most important moment in the lives of Venezuelans, and added: “to the unity parties, who remained faithful to my mandate on October 22, my recognition. History will be merciless to those who betray him.”
Machado ended the statement by saying that no one will divert them from the path that leads to clean and free elections, where he will be the presidential candidate, along with Corina Yoris.
