The documentary team is working on the first full-length documentary about Ethereum and is collecting donations from ETH to fund it.
The creators of the documentary Ethereum: The Infinite Garden will interview people involved in the development of the blockchain, including Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Ethereum Foundation CEO Aya Miyaguchi.
The documentary is produced by Optimist, produced by Carrie Weprin and co-directed by Zach Ingrasci and Chris Temple. Veprin and Ingraski were passionate about the cryptocurrency industry even before they got involved in the project. The fundraising for the creation of “Ethereum: The Infinite Garden” takes place on the Mirror platform until July 16, the purpose of the collection is 750 ETH. As of the morning of July 15, the documentary filmmakers managed to collect 264 ETH.
“I think it’s so great that the DAO can be our executive producer,” Ingraski said. “This will be the first time for the film industry. That’s why we wanted to get the community involved as early as possible. ”
Libra co-founder Morgan Beller introduced the Optimist team to Buterin.
“I always thought that Buterin deserved to have his story published. The entire Ethereum team is clean, authentic and kind. If you are just starting to study Ethereum and are not involved in the work of the industry, much of the history of the project remains behind the scenes. But I always thought that if the world could see and understand how all this was created, the project would receive more support. ”
Veprin said the team hopes to show the film at a major film festival in 2023 and will likely distribute it on major streaming platforms.
Recall that last summer, the founders of the Gemini cryptocurrency exchange Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss hired Hollywood producers to create a film about their acquaintance with Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency industry. In addition, Substantial Films began filming a black comedy film Decrypted about Satoshi Nakamoto last year.
