Orlando is born: the first magazine hotel in the world

Imagine a hotel furnished and designed to amaze in every detail. Imagine a place where you can make new acquaintances, with artists, designers, chefs, writers… It’s reality and it’s called Orlando, is the new semi-annual magazine of cultures and society, dedicated to new worlds to explore and new protagonists to get to know. As in a hotel, each “floor” of the magazine deals with a specific sector and is inhabited by protagonists who present themselves to the reader through their own story. Accompanying sensitive and curious travelers through the rooms, corridors and common areas is the lobby boy, Mr. O.

Why Orlando? Easy to understand how literature is the great fil rouge for this new project. And in fact the references to the heroic knight ofFurious orlando Ariosto’s and Virginia Woolf’s champion of eternal youth are made explicit in the editorial staff’s incessant research.

We start from the Ground Floor with its restaurant and garden, where it will be possible to discover themed stories and news food&beverage e gardens and labyrinths. Next, on the 1st Floor are the library and the exhibition hall with reading advice and meetings with contemporary artists. Finally, on the 2nd Floor, there are the suites where they can be met designers, architects and men and women from the world of materials and fabrics. The pilot number was published last November and the n. 2 has been available since June in many countries, both in Europe and in China, Japan and the USA.

Behind Orlando is the name of Antonella Pescetto and it is the first project of the Tessiore publishing house, a new independent reality created to produce large-format art books and publications dedicated to the most interesting artistic and culturally contemporary personalities. Starting with Orlando, all of Tessiore’s publications will put the search for beauty in all its forms at the center of their work.
