It was the hand of Godthe most intimate film of Paolo Sorrentinojoined the five of the best international feature filmthe new formula that frames the Best Foreign Film, at the next Oscars. The last time that Italy was nominated was in 2014, again with a film by Sorrentino, The great beauty, who then had won the statuette.
The film (with Filippo ScottiToni Servillo, Teresa SaponangeloLuisa Ranieri, Massimiliano Gallo among others) is set in Naples in the 1980s, that of the director’s adolescence, amidst memories, illusions and family fragments. Fabietto, played by Scotti, is faced with the greatest drama, the death of both parents. Meanwhile, Diego Maradona has arrived at Napoli.

The Academy Awards ceremony will be in Los Angeles next March 27, and the name of the conductor has not yet been revealed.
