Oscar 2025: Meet “Flow”, indicated the best international film

The Academy of Film Arts and Sciences released the full list of nominees to Oscar 2025 on Thursday (23).

The film, directed by filmmaker Latto Gints Zilbalodis, won the Golden Globe of Best Animation at the beginning of the month.

In the plot, cat is a lone animal, but when his home is destroyed by a large flood, he finds refuge in a boat inhabited by several species, having to join them despite differences. The film uses real animal sounds and was made with an open -source 3D animation program, Blender.

Independent animation used a budget of just under $ 4 million – a value well below the animated films of large companies.
