The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is already receiving submissions from countries wishing to compete in the category of Best International Film node Oscar 2025 . Every year, each interested nation must select and submit a movie to represent her in the competition for the prize.
As of this Friday (20), 58 productions have already been registered by the countries. Among the highlights are “Emilia Perez “, representing France and starring Selena Gomez ; “Universal Language “, of the Canada which premiered on Cannes Film Festival ; and “Kneecap “, from the Ireland which gained notoriety at the Sundance Festival.

According to Academy rules, countries interested in a spot in the category have until October 2 to submit their films.
Brazil has not yet made its choice . The Brazilian Academy of Cinema, responsible for selecting the title for the country, will announce its candidate next Monday (23). The favorite is “I’m Still Here “, new film by Walter Salles with Fernanda Torres .
