The Oscar-nominated comedy “The Rejected” entered the Prime Video catalog this Wednesday (10).
The plot follows the misadventures of a grumpy teacher at a prestigious American school, forced to stay on campus to care for a group of students who have nowhere to go during the Christmas holidays. He ends up creating an unlikely bond with one of them and with the school’s head cook, who has just lost a son in Vietnam.
The production stars Paul Giamatti (“Sideways – Between Ones and Others” and “Billions”), Dominic Sessa It is Da’Vine Joy Randolph (“High Fidelity” and “The Lost City”), who won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress at this year’s awards ceremony.
The direction is Alexander Payne known for his work in “Sideways – Between One and Another” (2004), “The descendants” (2011) and “Little Big Life” (2017).
