The Oscar-winning actor has died at the age of 71 William Hart star of the films Kiss of the Spider Woman and Body Heat.

Throughout his four-decade career, Hert was able to cross the line between serious acting and film success. In addition to starring in such acclaimed films as “Broadcast News” and “A History of Violence,” Hurt also starred in Steven Spielberg’s “AI: Artificial Intelligence” and enjoyed a decade playing General Thaddeus Ross in five Marvel films.
