It looks like a movie chase! An ostrich went viral on the internet after fleeing from the police in the middle of busy traffic in the city of Zhengzhou, in central China.
The case happened on the 6th, according to the state-owned website China Daily.
The bird ran away from the agents for several kilometers and was run over by a police motorcycle, but was captured after the help of animal protection teams.
The ostrich’s breeder told Chinese media that the animal escaped from the yard where it lived because it lost its companion, who escaped on October 26th. The female was rescued injured and is recovering in a city zoo.
The man said he bought the two ostriches at a fair a year ago at the request of his son, who thought they were adorable when they were little.
