In July, an unidentified person said he went to the bakery around 7 a.m. and, after ordering items for his breakfast, opened his computer to read emails. The customer said he was rudely approached by an employee, who said that the use of the equipment was not permitted.

“I asked why and she told me that people would go there to hold meetings and not consume anything, just coffee”, he reported. The consumer then said that he would just drink coffee, read the emails and leave, but claimed that the employee did not change her position.

After questioning the manager, the customer said that he “started to mumble that it wasn't coworking there and that it was prohibited, that I should leave because he wouldn't allow my consumption if I had my machine.”

In November, another customer said he went to lunch with two friends at the bakery located on Rua Caldas Novas, in Barueri, when he was also harassed by the owner of the establishment.

“While we were waiting for the last person to arrive, we were surprised by the rudeness of the owner, who came shouting that his bakery was not a place to hold meetings”, he reported.

“We tried to argue that we were just waiting for one more person to arrive so we could go to the buffet, but there was no conversation. [O dono] He was categorical and said that we were to leave and never appear in his bakery again”, he added. According to the consumer, the owner told them, “I don’t want you as customers.”

A similar report was made in October last year. A regular said that he also went to have lunch at the bakery and was waiting for a friend to arrive, when “the owner rudely asked us if we were there to eat or do coworking, because there was no place to work. So, we were supposed to leave.”

“When I complained about his rudeness, he rudely replied: 'either eat or leave'.”
