Our favorite childhood cartoons. Do you know how each of them ended?

Television cartoons from childhood are something that every adult remembers with sincere warmth. I remember very well how in primary school I hurried home to watch at least some of them on TV. And in the morning, for the sake of animated characters, it was often necessary to wake up at dawn. Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever and favorite characters sooner or later also leave the screens.

“AAA! Real Monsters (Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, 1994–1997, 12+)

The events of the animated series are developing in a world where real monsters live next to people. The main characters – Aikis, Oblina and Krumm – students of the Academy of Real Monsters. There they are trained in the art of professional scaring people. Each of them has his own method: Aikis is able to multiply in size, Oblina prefers to show his insides to his victims, and Krumm stinks in the worst way. In the last episode, the trio of main characters end up in a waste compactor at a recycling plant. At first they quarrel, but after some time they begin to reflect, recall their acquaintance and days at the Academy. Together, the monsters still manage to get out of this trap. The heroes reconcile and promise each other to always remain friends.

“What’s wrong with Andy?” (What’s with Andy?, 2001–2007, 0+)

The story takes place in the fictional town of East Geckle in Canada. The main character is a schoolboy named Andy Larkin. The boy disregards his studies, however, for the sake of virtuoso practical jokes, he masters various devices and mechanisms. In terrorizing the inhabitants of the town, Andy is helped by his best friend Danny Picket, who openly admires the guy’s talent, which is why he earned the nickname “Squire”. In the final episode of the animated series, Andy faces a serious danger – they threaten to transfer him to a class for lagging behind students due to poor academic performance. To prevent this from happening, he needs to pass the exam with a high score. Danny and his beloved Lori help the boy in preparation for it, but their efforts are in vain. Then Andy comes up with another “brilliant” idea – to disrupt the very exam.

“The Secret Files of the SpyDogs, 1998-1999, 0+”

A dog is man’s best friend. Apparently, it was this phrase that inspired the creators of the animated series. The story revolves around Ralph and Mitze, spy dogs who are part of a secret organization that protects people from various misfortunes. They are the best agents who are entrusted with the most complex operations. Sometimes a trainee joins them – an energetic puppy named Scribble. In the final episode, the special agents had to deal with a crazed robo-dog model “Chungsey”. By coincidence, the robot saves a man from a burning building, for which the locals honor him with the title of hero. Ralph and Mitze are tasked with trapping and disabling the robot. After a series of unsuccessful attempts, the couple finds themselves in a dangerous position. Unexpectedly, the same “Cheonsi” comes to the rescue. In gratitude, the heroes arrange a robot for the position of a politician.

“Aladdin” (Aladdin, 1994–1995, 0+)

In the center of the plot, well-known to the audience, Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, Abu the monkey, Iago the parrot and Jean. The events of the animated series take place after the engagement of the main characters, but Aladdin has not yet moved to the palace. Friends protect the fictional Agrabah from a variety of enemies: evil sorcerers, robbers and dark shamans. In addition, they often go on adventures to new and dangerous lands. In the latest episode, Aladdin and his friends discover the long-lost city of Mysmeria. It was destroyed by the endless wars into which the rulers plunged it. There, the heroes find mysterious emeralds and take them with them to Agrabah. It is later revealed that the Gems are actually bewitched people. Freed from many years of sleep, Queen Deluca and her brothers seize power in Agrab and almost repeat the fate of Mysmeria, but Aladdin and his friends manage to stop her.

“The Little Mermaid” (The Little Mermaid, 1992–1994, 0+)

The animated series about the Little Mermaid is a prequel to the full-length cartoon of the same name. In the center of the plot is the young and inquisitive Ariel, who is madly in love with people and everything connected with them, as well as her friends – the restless fish Flounder and the grouchy crab Sebastian. The daughter’s passion for human culture is extremely disliked by King Triton. He is trying in every possible way to guide Ariel on the right path. However, this company is constantly looking for adventure, opposes the intrigues of the insidious witch Ursula and helps the inhabitants of the ocean. In the final episode of the animated series, Ariel again faces the Angry Skat. This time he brings his son with him, who wants to be like his father and just as terribly evil. However, when the “little wicked” meets the Little Mermaid and begins to attend classes at the “Middle Ocean School”, “good thoughts” gradually creep into his head. He finds new friends and no longer wants to do evil and terrorize the underwater inhabitants.

“Goofy and his team” (Goof Troop, 1992–1993, 6+)

The events of the animated series revolve around Goofy and his son Max. They move to a town called Spoonerville. Goofy spent his high school years there. There he meets his classmates Pete and his wife Peg. He buys an old house from them and settles there with his son. Pete doesn’t like Goofy and reminds him of old grievances, but Maxi gets along well with his son PJ. The final episode of the animated series was the Christmas special “A Goofy Christmas”. On the eve of the holiday, Pete’s family leaves Spooneville for the city of Asprin, because he is tired of Goofy ruining everything every year. However, the heroes are still destined to celebrate Christmas together. After all, Max, wanting to celebrate with a friend, persuades Goofy to go after them.

“Timon and Pumbaa” (Timon & Pumbaa, 1995–1999, 0+)

A spin-off about the adventures of two funny friends – Timon the meerkat and the good-natured boar Pumbaa. The couple constantly gets into different funny situations. Unlike the full-length “The Lion King”, the characters travel not only through the wild savannah, but also wander into the city, encounter people, and also enjoy the benefits of technological progress to their heart’s content. In the last episode, Timon and Pumbaa find themselves on a cruise ship, but not for long. The couple are thrown overboard due to their disgusting behavior. They find themselves on a desert island, where they meet a mad scientist. He tries to clone Timon, but he manages to escape. Later, the couple falls off a cliff and their whole life flashes before their eyes in an instant. At the last moment, Pumbaa opens his umbrella and they land successfully.
