Out-of-control Tesla car kills two in China – Possible cause was failure of brakes

A car Tesla, while on a Chinese countryside road went out of control killing two people and injuring three before finally crashing into a building. The incident occurred on November 5 in Chaozhou City, northeast of Hong Kong.

The video shows a white Tesla Model Y accelerates suddenlyduring which the driver tried to park the car and then deploy very high speed in busy streets. The driver’s family told local media that the 55-year-old driver lost itn control of the car and that when hit the brake this was not responding. According to “Jimu News”, a motorcyclist and a schoolgirl were killed.

Tesla said it was investigating the incident, noting that its data showed that the brake pedal it was never activated while the vehicle was running through the city. In her statement to Daily MailTesla said it is working with local authorities to identify the “truth” about what caused the accident.
