At least 82 people have died in rain -related incidents in Bihar in the last two days, the eastern state disaster management department said.
Meanwhile, in Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state in India, the authorities reported that 18 people died due to light and storm -related incidents.
In neighboring Nepal, rays and heavy rains killed at least eight people, according to authorities from the National Disasters Authority.
The meteorological department of India foresees more rain with storms, lightning and gusts of wind in the center and eastern India until Monday (14).
Intense heat waves in recent summer months have killed several people.
The National Institute of Meteorology (IMD) said last week that India should have a much warmer April, with above normal temperatures in most of the country.
