The National Federation of Federal Criminal Police (Fenasppen) released a statement and stated that the two inmates who escaped from the Federal Penitentiary of Mossoró (RN) had no 'external help'.
“The fugitives had no external support, that is, there was no external logistics, they did not have an escape vehicle, cell phones, a shelter or escape route, which leads us to believe that there was no prior planning but rather an opportunity that was used and they were successful”, says the note.
The federation, which brings together five unions in the category, also states that 'if the participation of police officers during the escape' of Deibson Nascimento and Rogério Mendonça is proven, it will be necessary to 'cut their own flesh without any corporatism'.
Fenasppen also says it hopes that everything is investigated and that anyone responsible 'responds for their actions and/or omissions in accordance with the law'.
“Once the investigations are complete, if there is a federal criminal police officer involved, we will cut the flesh without any corporatism, as our greatest pride has always been the statistical numbers of zero escapes, zero rebellions, zero cell phones”, says the document.
The federation also highlights that since the Federal Penitentiary System began operating, it has never recorded security or operational problems.
“Federal penitentiaries remain safe and fulfilling their due role, the isolation of criminal leaders within the Federal Penitentiary System”, states the note.
The federation also repudiated statements by public figures and opinion makers in relation to accusations of corruption among criminal police officers. And he defended the continuity of the investigations.
Deibson Nascimento and Rogério Mendonça escaped from Mossoró maximum security prison in the early hours of last Wednesday (14). A hunt with 250 security agents has lasted five days in search of the fugitives around the prison. The two already appear on Interpol's list of the world's most wanted criminals.
