An outrageous video saw the light of day and shows a teacher in kindergarten of Ohio violently pushing a 4-year-old girl, who falls to the floor. A second teacher watches the incident and then leaves without doing anything.
THE teacher James Ciolino of Wilde Kingdom Early Learning Center was arrested and charged with assault in connection with the June 21 incident. The little girl fell with her back to the ground and cried.
“Go away!” Ciolino is heard saying and continuing the applause and singing to the rest of the class.
The girl cries loudly on the floor for about 50 seconds and he finally gets up from his chair – but instead of seeing how she is and trying to comfort her, he picks her up and takes her out of the room.
Lisa McMillion, director of Fairfield Kindergarten, told WKRC-TV that fired both teachers and reported them to the authorities.
“The video itself has the truth it needs,” she said. “So as you watch it, you know immediately what needs to be done.”
What happened before the outrage in the video
Prior to the incident recorded in the video, the girl had left the room for another class, according to the WKRC. The teacher in that class, Jennifer Miller, screamed at Ciolino to come pick her up, but the man closed the door to his own class.
Miller is seen in the video opening the door to her colleague’s classroom and putting the girl inside.
Ciolino violently pushes the child in front of Miller, who does nothing and just watches, then closes the door. The teacher is also facing justice, while both plead not guilty to the charges against them.
“What a heartless man,” says the girl’s mother
The girl’s mother, whose name has not been released, said that the video shows the man pushing the child “as if he were an animal”.
“A little baby who knows nothing, that all he knows in life is to play, eat and sleep – you push her and throw her down. And he is down, crying and again you do what you do. “What a heartless man,” said the mother.
