Over 366,000 new cases of coronavirus in India

Another 366,161 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were recorded by India in the last 24 hours, according to data from the federal Ministry of Health.

The new cases remain high but fell from the level of 400,000 per day they had reached, while During the same period, another 3,754 COVID-19 patients died, after two consecutive days that had exceeded the limit of 4,000.

India, as noted by AMPE, records the third heaviest victim account of the pandemic of the young coronavirus on the planet, behind only the US and Brazil, now counting 246,116 dead.

It also ranks second in the number of confirmed infections, having recorded 22.66 million, behind the United States alone.

However, experts describe the official data as very underestimated in relation to reality, and estimates have been made that the actual numbers of cases and deaths may be five to ten times higher.
