Over the past year, the number of mobile video users increased from 1.2 billion to 1.8 billion

A new study from Juniper Research shows that in 2020, the number of mobile video users worldwide has reached 1.8 billion. This is 50% more than in 2019, when the number of users of such services was 1.2 billion.

Analysts attribute the rapid rise in popularity of services to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has increased the need for means of communication at a distance.

Juniper Research predicts mobile video calling will continue to grow. By 2025, it will reach 4.5 billion, which is 50% of the total number of mobile users (let us clarify that one person can be a user of several services).

The largest growth is projected in North America and Europe. More than 70% of cellular subscribers in these regions are expected to be using video solutions by 2025. This is facilitated by the widespread availability of these services.
