Marketplaces Ozon and AliExpress simultaneously launched co-op shopping services in their mobile applications. According to the resource vc.ru, the new service allows users to combine and order goods in large quantities.
Ozon noted that the advantage of group purchases is savings: sellers can save on logistics, and buyers get good discounts on goods. The co-purchasing process is the same as usual. The user selects a product, pays for it and waits for other buyers to be found. If the required number of applicants does not meet within a month, the transaction is canceled and the money is returned to the card.
Such products are offered by the sellers themselves. They set the size of the discount, which can be from 20%, as well as the number of buyers and the duration of the offer. Ozon began testing joint purchases on March 15th, and they are now available to all sellers who trade from their warehouse. Later, such goods can be purchased from the Ozon warehouse.
As for AliExpress, there are joint purchases in the mini-application on VKontakte. Here it works a little differently: first you need to subscribe to the product in its card, and only then, if the required number of buyers is reached within two days, it will be possible to buy it. By the decision of the seller, the goods can be sold, even if there are few people willing to purchase it.

The list of products for joint purchases will be updated every two days. This innovation is currently available only to local sellers.
