Pabllo Vittar is the first Brazilian drag queen to enter Spotify’s Global Top 50

The singer Pabllo Vittar became, this Wednesday (10), the first brazilian drag queen to enter the list of the 50 most listened to songs in the world on Spotify . The mark was reached with “Alibi” launched in partnership with Sevdaliza It is Yseult .

The music got 2.1 million views on the platform in one day reached the 47th place of the world ranking joined songs that are global hits, such as “Birds Of a Feather”, by Billie Eilish, and “Espresso” and “Please Please Please”, by Sabrina Carpenter, which occupy the first three positions on the list this Wednesday.

“Alibi” was released by the Brazilian drag queen in partnership with the Iranian-Dutch singer Sevdaliza and the French Yseult on July 28th and has already accumulated more than 20 million plays on Spotify since it arrived on the music streaming platform. On YouTube, the clip has more than 12 million views .

The song went viral on social media thanks to a sample of a traditional Colombian song (“Rosa”, by Totó La Momposina) used to compose its chorus: “Rosa, que linda eres” which serves as a bed for the repetition of “alibi”, the title of the song.
