Holy Father (Chico Díaz) will say goodbye to the remake of “Reborn” . After dedicating the years of his life to the residents of Ilhéus, in Bahia, the religious man will have a sudden illness and die.
The character will be accompanied by Pastor Livio (Breno da Matta), who will give the priest a ride and, during a conversation, will realize that his great friend has passed away.
In 1993, in the original version written by Benedito Ruy Barbosa , the sequence was one of the most striking. At the time, Padre Santo was played by Jofre Soares while Lívio — who was also a priest — for Jackson Costa.
After an emotional dialogue between the two characters, in which Father Santo recalls his journey in religious life, the priest ends up dying during Lívio's speech, who promises to remember his words when taking his place in the church.
