Southwestern Pakistan police have arrested a total of 14 suspects for the murder of a couple allegedly maintaining an extramarital affair. Among those arrested is the leader of a local tribe, who ordered the murder. The murders, in Balotsistan province, caught the attention of the authorities after releasing a video that caused a stir and shows the perpetrators shooting the victims. The man who shot and killed the woman was her brother, who acted on behalf of the family and the tribe, said province police chief Mozam Jach Ansari. The murders were ordered by the leader of the tribe, Sir Baz Satakzai. At a press conference, the first minister of the province, Sarfrez Bougki, said Satakzai had been arrested. “We will ensure that everyone is prosecuted,” he added.
