A young Palestinian was killed by Israeli forces today during clashes in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Ministry of Health and eyewitnesses said.
A civilian was shot dead by Israeli forces in the village of Nabi Saleh, near the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, the ministry said in a statement, without elaborating on the circumstances of the incident or the identity of the victim.
Residents of the village stressed that it is Nehad Barghouti, 19 years old.
According to eyewitnesses, the clashes broke out when Israeli soldiers entered Nabi Saleh – a village known for their mobilizations against the Israeli occupation – and young people threw stones at them.
At the request of the French Agency, the Israeli army stated that it was verifying this information.
On Sunday night, another young Palestinian, 17-year-old Mohammed Abu Salah, was shot dead during a clash with Israeli forces in the North West Bank, and later succumbed to his injuries.
