Palestinian ministry says two children were killed by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank

The Israeli military killed two Palestinian children when they opened fire in Jenin, in the West Bank, this Wednesday (29), according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The Ministry identified the children as Adam Samer Al-Ghoul, aged 8, and Basel Sliman Abu Al-Wafa, aged 15.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said it transferred a child from the Basateen area of ​​Jenin to a local hospital after she was shot and killed by the Israeli military, according to a statement published Wednesday.

In response to questions from CNN the Israel Defense Forces said:

“Earlier today, during IDF field activity in Jenin, several suspects threw explosive devices at IDF soldiers. The soldiers responded with fire on the suspects and the hits were identified.”

A CCTV video obtained by CNN captures the moment a child tries to hide behind a car before being shot and seen lying on the ground.

Later, another child approaches him, trying to drag him across the floor.

More CCTV footage circulating on Palestinian social media shows a second boy in Jenin lighting an unidentified item shortly before being shot.

On Tuesday, the IDF released a statement to CNN indicating that they are conducting “anti-terrorism activities” in Jenin.
