Residents of the Gaza Strip had to move again in the south of the Palestinian territory on Monday (31), fleeing neighborhoods inside and around Rafah after Israel issued new orders for vacancy.
The Israeli military ordered the population to move to Al Mawasi, an area on the coast.
“The FDI (Israeli Defense Forces) are returning to intense operations to dismantle the capabilities of terrorist organizations in these areas,” Israel’s military spokesman said in a statement.
The Israeli soldiers, who cut the aid to the Gaza Strip, resumed operations on March 18 after a two -month truce, during which 33 Israeli and five Thai hostages were released in exchange for about 2,000 prisoners and detained Palestinians.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that Israel will increase the pressure on Hamas, but would continue the negotiations “under fire.”
He claims that continuous military pressure is the best way to ensure the liberation of the armed group’s hostages.
Netanyahu also repeated the requirements for Hamas to disarm, although the group said this is a “red line” that he will not cross.
