Palestinians freed from Israel report torture

About 150 Palestinian prisoners have been freed by Israel, according to a statement from Gaza Strip authorities who claim they were mistreated while in custody. Since the start of the war against Hamas, Israeli soldiers have arrested dozens of people from the Gaza Strip, held them without charge and released some of them. It is clear that these captives were severely mistreated after some of them were sent for treatment in a hospital, the Palestinian official told AFP. However, the Israeli army did not comment on the release of the prisoners but stressed that it is “absolutely forbidden” to mistreat prisoners.
