Protesters took to the streets of the city of Ramallah, West Bank, on Saturday (5), in protest against Israel’s bombing in the Gaza Strip.
Participants in the march accused the Israeli army of attacking workers from humanitarian organizations.
“The Israeli army committed a terrible crime of war to attack first aid and doctors from the Red Crescent, while employees were in ambulances, clearly marked with linked sirens and lights. Israel did not directly comment on the accusations, but Israeli military said that on March 23 they shot vehicles that had red crescent symbols near the city of Rafah. According to the Israelis, the target were groups of enemy combatants. At least nine people died.
“Our initial investigation found that there were terrorists in these cars using those red-crested vehicles,” said Lieutenant Colonel Israeli Nadav Shoshani.
The growing red Palestinian stated that eight of its employees were killed in the attack and demanded that Israel be held responsible for the case.
