THE Panda from “The Love That Remains” was the winner of the 25th edition of Canine palm node Cannes Festival . The dog stars in the islanded movie Hlynur Padmason, screened in a parallel show of the event.
The awards ceremony took place this Friday (23). The four -legged actor plays the loyal companion of a family that is undergoing a separation.
“Panda has a moving performance, standing out as a true and talented star for his own merit. He highlights the dog’s essential role in home and the powerful emotional bond he forms with family members,” the organization said.

In addition to recognizing the best canine performance of cinema, the Canine Palm jury also evaluates the conditions of the set, where animal welfare should be a priority. The award was created in 2011 by Anthoy Privast, founder of the Woopets -focused vehicle.
The 2025 Cannes Festival began on May 13th and runs until Saturday (24), when the great winner of the Golden Palm will be revealed. More than 20 films compete for the maximum prize. See below.
