Four young Italian tourists, between 24 and 27 years old, they were arrested for gang rape against a girl of Brazilian origin in Playa de Palma, Palma de Mallorca. The events date back to the night between last Saturday and Sunday, between 2 and 6 in the morning. According to initial reconstructions, the young woman would have met one of the four friends in front of a nightclub on Passeig Maritim, and would have asked him for a cigarette. The boy, who didn't have it, would get it.
The two would have met again around 5 in the morning, and together they would have decided to end the night in his apartment, where they arrived with a taxi and where they would have a consensual relationship. Later, however, the young man would come out and let him into the room one of his friends, who allegedly forced the girl to have sexual intercourse. At that point, another would also have molested the girl. The fourth, however, although aware of what was happening, did not actively participate in the violence.
The young woman fled, managing to take with her the passport of one of the boys, and reported the rape at a police station in Palma de Mallorca. As he reports El Mundopolice officers accelerated the arrest procedures after discovering that the four young people had planned to leave Palma de Mallorca the same day.
