Pam Bondi took office as United States Attorney General on Wednesday (5).
President Donald Trump said that “it will restore just, egalitarian and impartial justice and restore the constitutional rule of law in America.”
On his first day in office, Bondi is expected to take a series of immediate actions to investigate and undo legal movements of the Biden administration, sources told CNN.
Bondi was once the Attorney General of Florida. At the time of the announcement of the nomination for the position, Trump pointed out that she “was very hard with violent criminals” and “worked to prevent deadly drug trafficking and reduce the tragedy of Fentanile overdose deaths”.
She was nominated after Matt Gaetz’s withdrawal, who was accused of sexual misconduct and other alleged crimes – actions he denies.
