The actress Pamela Anderson 57, showed no resentment after being left off the list of Oscar nominees .
Despite being among the bets for the Best Actress category, the star – whose performance in the film “The Last Showgirl ” was well received by critics -, it did not get a nomination when the official list was released last Thursday (23).
In an interview with the website Elle.com, Pamela reacted calmly to the Academy’s decision, which nominated Brazilian Fernanda Torres (“I’m Still Here”), Karla Sofia Gascón (“Emilia Pérez”), Mikey Madison (“Anora”), Cynthia Erivo (“Wicked”), and Demi Moore (“The Substance”).
“My God, [uma indicação ao Oscar] It’s not something I would ever expect . Doing the work is victory. That’s what I like to do, and I think sometimes we can lose track of that in the midst of this awards season craziness. It’s good to be recognized and all of this is a bonus. Anyway, I couldn’t even imagine [essa possibilidade]”, declared Pamela.
The actress received a nomination for the SAG Awards, in the Best Actress category, which is already reason enough to celebrate. “I’m happy to be nominated for SAG, that’s it [votado por] your colleagues . That’s really cool. It’s been a long road promoting this film,” he said.
Recently, the artist, who achieved success playing CJ Parker in the series “SOS Malibu”, stated that she had the opportunity to show the scope of her talent in “The Last Showgirl”.
Participating on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Pamela reported that the film transformed your career : “I always thought I was capable of more than just running around in a bathing suit. So I thought, ‘You know, I want to try this.’ And I dedicated myself body and soul to this project. I’m very happy that everyone is loving it”, he declared.
