Pamela Anderson tackled “glamor and aging” for “The Last Showgirl”

In last Tuesday’s episode (17) in Variety magazine’s Actor’s on Actors section, alongside the actress from “Anora” Mikey Madison Anderson opened up about how she used her life to play the role in the Gia Coppola-directed drama.

“I had the opportunity to bring a lot of my personal experience, my long life dealing with beauty and glamor and aging and reevaluating my life choices,” Anderson told Madison, speaking about the emotional preparation she did for the film.

“I had to bring my whole life to this role,” he added.

In “The Last Showgirl”, Anderson plays Shelly, a Las Vegas showgirl whose performances abruptly end after 30 years, forcing her to face and plan her future.

Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, Brenda Song, Kiernan Shipka and Billie Lourd also join the cast.

In the interview, Anderson talked about the two sons she had with former Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, Brandon and Dylan Lee. Anderson continued, “I feel like I now have the freedom to focus on things instead of worrying about a relationship or my family. My children are grown. I’m free. Now I can play again.”
