Panettone free of gluten, lactose and refined sugar hit the shelves in SP

Christmas is coming and panettone, without a doubt, is one of the greatest symbols of this time of year. For a few years now, major brands have been betting on the gluten-free, lactose-free and refined sugar-free version of the typical Christmas sweet, while others were created specializing in producing them with these characteristics.

Whether for those who have some intolerance or just want to avoid the great villains of the fitness world, there is no shortage of options for those who want to find it with adapted recipes, but full of flavor.

True Food

In a cozy little house on Haddock Lobo street, in the Cerqueira Cesar neighborhood, True Food opened its doors in 2018 with the aim of offering the healthiest food available in today’s cuisine. And of course, special occasions are not left out of the menu. Chef Larissa Siqueira prepared a special menu with seven flavors of well-filled panettone for this Christmas: all gluten-free and lactose-free.

Some of the options have 75% cocoa chocolate in their composition; others are sweetened with coconut sugar. There are also those that are 100% zero sugar. Confectioner Isabela Akkari founded her brand in 2014 and has become a reference in the ‘zero’ sweets market. With physical stores in São Paulo, Campinas, Ribeirão Preto and Rio de Janeiro, it has an extensive menu of desserts made with special ingredients.

In this year’s Christmas catalogue, she offers her customers her panettone dough with chocolate drops and filling options. The “Healthy Idea”, by cook Anna Paula Castro, became a reference on Instagram when it comes to gluten-free, lactose-free and sugar-free sweets. Only natural sweeteners are used in her products.

Mini panettone with chocolate pieces (R$ 37 – 100g); mini panettone made with cramberry, apricots and raisins and the chocotone stuffed with soft coconut (R$ 92 – 100g or R$ 192 – 450g) are the highlights of the catalogue.

Pistachio brigadeiro and dulce de leche fillings for the panettone dough are also available in different sizes.
