On the other hand, just to Dolce Vita Pool Restaurant, one of the three restaurants of the Castello di Velona – as he says Republic – the just 30 guests were greeted on their arrival by tables decorated with ears of wheat, sunflowers, hydrangeas and roses for a welcome dinner. It is not yet known, however, in which space of the resort the wedding dinner will be held: what is certain is that preparing food will be the executive chef Riccardo Bacciottiniarrived at the Velona Castle after working at the three Michelin star Noma in Copenhagen, and that there will be many vegan proposals on the menu, in line with the diet of the two brides.
The kitchen is one of the flagships of Castello di Velona, which also produces Brunello, Montalcino and organic oil, as well as being a gold buen retiro that offers maximum privacy and services, in a unique context between naturalistic beauties and history. It is known, among other things, for one of the largest and most beautiful thermal spas in the area, the OLISPA: a wellness center of 1500 square meters where the Tuscan travertine dominates in a linear and refined environment with a Jacuzzi, two Turkish baths, sauna, emotional showers and ice falls and avant-garde treatment cabins that exploit the benefits of the precious thermal waters of the area. Waters that also flow into the bathtubs of the princely rooms (the cost starts from 600 euros per night) in a refined rural style, with balconies and windows overlooking the greenery and embraced by silence. Some are particularly special, like the Suite in the ancient south tower of the castle which has a private terrace of 150 square meters overlooking the vineyards of the Val d’Orcia and one volcanic water pool where to relax while enjoying one of the most evocative views of Tuscany. Will she be the one chosen by the couple for their wedding night? Indeed, of a civil union since in Italy it is not yet technically possible to speak of marriage between persons of the same sex.
Silvio Berlusconi’s gift
