Civic-military parades mark the celebrations of the Bicentennial of Independence by Brazil this Wednesday (7).
At least 25 capitals hold the events, including São Paulo, Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Recife, Salvador, Curitiba, Florianópolis, Porto Alegre, Palmas, São Luís, Cuiabá, Maceió, Rio Branco, Boa Vista, Fortaleza, Porto Velho, Vitória, Belém, Macapá, Natal, Manaus, João Pessoa, Teresina and Aracaju.
In the federal capital, the parade takes place in the morning, with the presence of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL). In Brasília, the National Public Security Force was called to act on the 7th of September. According to an ordinance published on Monday (5), in the Official Gazette, the troops will be responsible for security in the vicinity of the Ministry of Justice.
In the city of São Paulo, the celebrations include the 7 de Setembro parade, held on Avenida Dom Pedro I. This year, the event takes place along the entire length of the central lane of the road.
