Paramore release sixth studio album “This is Why”; listen

The band Paramore released this Friday (10) their sixth album, “This Is Why”, almost six years after the last studio work, “After Laughter” (2017).

The group formed by vocalist Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York and drummer Zac Farro had already released three singles: “This Is Why”, “The News” and “Ces’t Comme Ça”.

The new work has 10 tracks and has punk, new age pop and emo influences, with inspiration, according to the band itself, in groups like Bloc Party.

After announcing a break in 2018, Hayley, Taylor and Zac returned to work together in June 2021 in Nashville.

Hours before the release, on their social networks, the group stated that the album is for those who, over these years of hiatus, have gone through situations of agoraphobia, anger, confusion between selfishness and self-preservation, apathy, revenge, nostalgia for something that not lived and moral superiority.

“If you’ve been through this, man, we’ve got an album for you,” they wrote.

Paramore returns for a tour of South America this March, with three shows in Brazil.

There will be two dates in São Paulo, on the 11th and 12th, and one in Rio de Janeiro, on the 9th.

All tickets have been sold.

“This Is Why” is available on all streaming platforms.
