Some time ago, information appeared about the desire of the Paramount Pictures film company to release a full-fledged film based on the plot of the cult cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender (Avatar: The Last Airbender), and today, January 10, the company officially introduced the world to a mobile role-playing game called Avatar Generations. It will be based on the plot of the original cartoon and will allow fans to plunge into the journey of the main characters on smartphones running the Android or iOS operating system by the end of this year. Unfortunately, there is no exact release date yet.
It is worth noting that the newly created Navigator Games studio, whose employees once worked on major projects at Activision Blizzard, EA, Ubisoft, Microsoft, Netmarble, Capcom and Disney, is responsible for the development of the Avatar Generations video game. Accordingly, the team has enough experience to create a quality project that allows you to experience key plot points along with the main characters of the cartoon – Aang, Sokka and Katara. The developers also promise gamers to meet with secondary characters, among which there will be the main enemy in the face of Prince Zuko.
However, despite the highly recognizable franchise, the Avatar Generations gameplay trailer leaves much to be desired. The developers demonstrated the combat system, which, apparently, will be based on four elements and turn-based battles, but visually it looks extremely mediocre. Progress through the story will take place by moving through the points, during which the developers apparently plan to insert small cut-scenes that explain what is happening. So for fans of the cartoon, of course, this is a real gift, but for gamers who have never heard of Avatar with an arrow on his head, the new mobile game may not bring the expected pleasure.
