O Guaranteed Boi promises to exalt its origins, celebrate ancestry and sing for hope and preservation of the Amazon during the three days of 2024 Parintins Festival . The folklore group will present the general theme “Secrets of the Heart ”. Check out below what to expect from each of the presentations, on the three nights, this Friday (28), Saturday (29) and Sunday (30).
“Today, we are in the festival process of artistic improvement, of professionalizing our shows. Our shows go all over the world. So, we work hard for this”, said Fred Góes, president of Garantido.
Friday (28)
According to the Garantido Arts Commission, the first night of the association will have as its subtheme the origin of life, passing through the Amazon as the center of resistance of black people and indigenous peoples, and all the mysteries that surround this resistance, reaching Baixa da Xanda, where Garantido itself was created by master Lindolfo Monteverde.
Saturday (29)
The second night promises to reveal the secret of Amazonian ancestry.
“An ancestry that, in the city of Lindolfo Monte Verde, breaks down barriers and blurs the boundaries between indigenous, black and white people”, highlights the Bumbá Arts Commission.
Sunday (30)
And the third and final night is when Garantido is inspired by the immortal Ailton Krenak, when presenting and talking about hope for a better world, based on an ancestral future.
“For us to have a future, we have to look at our ancestry, our origin. That’s why I say that Boi Garantido’s work is coherent, because we are going to close with this vision that there is hope for this Amazon to be respected, strengthened, rebuilt from a symbiotic point of view”, stated Hellen Picanço, member of the board of Arts of the association.
