The Parintins Folklore Festival continued with its second night of shows this Saturday night (29). Caprichoso and Garantido continued their presentations, which will continue until this Sunday, when the event ends.
The champion will be announced on Monday (01), after the judges’ votes are counted.
Capricious Ox
The theme of the night was “Traditions: the Flame of Popular Resistance”. On this night, “tradition is the guiding thread of the narrative. The ox spoke of what he cultivates with great care: the traditions that give life to the Caprichoso Boi, traditions that are not dressed in pretensions to remain watertight, but rather those experienced, relived daily in the daily lives of the people, the fans, being reborn at each festival”, explain the organizers.
Guaranteed Boi
The aim of the second night is to demonstrate the secret of Amazonian ancestry.
“An ancestry that, in the city of Lindolfo Monte Verde, breaks down barriers and blurs the boundaries between indigenous, black and white people”, highlights the Bumbá Arts Commission.
