Parintins Festival: see images from the third night of performances

The 57th edition of the Parintins Folklore Festival came to an end in the early hours of this Monday (1st) after three nights of performances of the oxen-bumbás Capricious It is Guaranteed . This Monday (1st), Boi-Bumbá Caprichoso was defined as the champion.

The third night of competition was opened by the red and white bull, which had been tasked with closing the first two nights. To close its participation in the festival, Garantido was inspired by Ailton Krenak immortal of the Brazilian Academy of Letters, to present and talk about hope in a better world based on an ancestral future. The general theme was “Secrets of the Heart”.

The third place winner of BBB 24 and Cunhã-Poranga from Garantido, Isabelle Nogueira turned into a uirapuru at the Bumbódromo de Parintins on Sunday (30). In the first two days, she had already turned into a jaguar and a hawk.

Caprichoso, which defended the festival’s two-time champion, closed the proceedings with the subtheme “Knowledge: the Reforestation of Consciousness” which told part of the general theme “Culture: the Triumph of the People”. The blue and white ox had opened the first two nights of competitions.

The counting took place in the arena where the festival is held and was broadcast live by A Crítica on open TV and on the broadcaster’s channel YouTube . After the announcement of the champion, the winning boi-bumbá has a “Victory Party” in its corral.

Boi Caprichoso was looking to win three consecutive championships for the first time. This is its 26th title in history. Boi Garantido was trying to win the festival again, something that has not happened since 2019. It has accumulated 32 titles.

The judges chosen to evaluate the bulls observe 21 items that make up the bois-bumbás. The scores range from 0 to 10, and can be given in decimal places (9.9, 9.8, 9.7…). The bull that has the most points in the sum of the results of the three nights of the festival wins.
