The love and pride of Parintinense culture were the inspiration for the artist Lucijones Cursino create the 57th trophy Parintins Festival . The champion will be announced this Monday (1st), after counting the judges’ votes.
The trophy will be used to honor the gallery – that is, the association – of the champion ox in the dispute between the bois-bumbás Capricious It is Guaranteed . The two performed for three nights between last Friday (28) and Sunday (30).
Lucijones states that every artist first chooses a theme to work on and cites the Ambassador of the Parintins Festival and cunhã-poranga of boi-bumbá Garantido Isabelle Nogueira to talk about his inspiration. “This year, the theme I chose to work on was precisely the theme that Isabelle Nogueira defended in the media, on national television: love and pride for our culture, love for our festival, pride in being from here on Earth” , declares the artist.
The main trophies, of the oxen, bear the symbol of each stylized ox: the heart, of Garantido, and the star, of Caprichoso, in their respective colors. “As we are talking about love and pride, we have to be proud of our symbols, our colors”, argues the creator of the works.
In addition to the trophy for the champion, Lucijones also designed and made trophies for the runner-up, for the galleys, for Batucada, for Marujada and for participation for all individual items.
“Item trophies are not just trophies, a souvenir, they are also usable. They transform into lampshade . They were made of translucent material with LED, which each item will be able to use in your home as a lampshade”, explains the creator.
The trophies for the Caprichoso items are a stylized star, while the Guaranteed item trophies are a stylized heart.
The mural Patrimônio em Festa, created by artist Pito Silva for the Bumbódromo façade, served as inspiration for the trophies awarded to the crowds. “I simply materialized that child, that fan, and placed a ribbon for each bull in the hands of that fan, because the fan is the most important figure in the festival. He is the one who waits for days in line, facing the sun and rain, and he is the one who supports the bull and the performances of the bulls,” he says.
In the Batucada and Marujada trophies, the ox symbols are once again the main element. “Every sailor and drummer is proud to defend their colors and defend their symbol. In Caprichoso, the star, in Garantido, the heart. So, the trophies come with the ox symbol, in the ox colors and with a drumstick”, he defines.
The count to define the winner this Monday (1st). The ox with the most points in the sum of the results from the three nights of the Festival wins, after being evaluated by the judges on the 21 items that make up the ox-bumbás.
