Paris 2024: Viola Davis congratulates Rebeca Andrade and takes a chance on Portuguese

The actress Viola Davis, 58 congratulated the gymnast Rebecca Andrade, 25 for the silver medal won this Thursday (1st) in the Paris Olympic Games s. She also made a post on her social media highlighting the achievement of the Brazilian and Americans Simone Biles and Sunisa Lee, who completed the podium.

In a post by the Brazilian gymnast, the actress wrote: “I love you, Rebeca! Congratulations”, taking a chance in Portuguese. On her social media, she posted: “Congratulations once again, Simone Biles … The face of a champion! And a sincere congratulations to Rebeca Andrade and Sunisa Lee” . The Brazilian responded with: “I love you too! Thank you.”

Other artists also congratulated Rebeca on her achievement. “You are wonderful, an inspiration to all of us. Congratulations always,” said presenter Sabrina Sato. “Giant,” said musician Tiago Iorc. “You are our queen! You are everything and more! I am so proud!” said presenter Ana Furtado.

The gymnast won the silver medal in the artistic gymnastics individual all-around, coming in behind only American Simone Biles. On Wednesday (31), she had already won the bronze medal in the team competition, alongside Jade Barbosa, Flávia Saraiva, Lorrane Oliveira and Júlia Soares.

Rebeca will also compete for a medal in the apparatus final: vault, on Saturday (3), and beam and floor, both on Monday (5).
