THE haute couture week returns this week to Paris with a four-day program promising moments of artistic and fantastic fashion.
houses like Chanel, Dior, Schiaparelli and Giorgio Armani Privé are ready to show new designs. Meanwhile, the Balenciaga announced that it will open a couture shop this Wednesday, July 6 – the same day as its runway show, which will be staged in the brand’s original 1937 couture atelier near the Champs Elysee.
In a press release, Balenciaga’s CEO, Cedric Charbit said he wanted to demystify the “very closed universe” of handmade haute couture and provide a “gateway to haute couture” for younger generations, who will be able to see exclusive pieces up close.
The haute couture shows take place from the 4th to the 7th of July.
