Paris Hilton reveals the abuse she suffered in a boarding school: “They stole my childhood”

In an interview for The New York Times, The celebrity and model Paris Hilton revealed that she was a victim of sexual abuse while she was in the Provo Canyon School institution in Utah, United States, as part of mental treatment in the 1990s.

Twenty years after being admitted to said institute, Paris opened her heart and broke the silence, giving details of that bad episode she suffered at a very young age. The 41-year-old model assures that employees of her mental health center were the ones who abused her and other patients.

In making these statements, Paris also said that her childhood was stolen due to these alleged abuses at school, where she spent eleven months when she was just 17 years old.

Very late at night, this would be around three or four in the morning, they would take me and other girls to a room and do medical tests on us. Not even a doctor did. It was with a couple of staff members, who would put us on the table and stick their fingers in us. I don’t know what they did, but it definitely wasn’t a doctor. Also, it was very scary. It was scary and it’s something that I had really blocked out for many years. But now I come back to it all the time and think about it. Looking back as an adult, that was definitely sexual abuse.

On the other hand, on her Twitter account, Paris took the opportunity to talk a little more about the subject, detailing that being medicated and deprived of sleep, she did not understand what was really happening, because they held her down and forced her to lie down on a table and open his legs to undergo “cervical examinations”.

In addition to this, the businesswoman said that she was not the only victim of this type of abuse and that is why she has campaigned to regulate centers for adolescents with problems. It is worth mentioning that the first time that the socialite criticized the institution was in her documentary This Is Paris, with which he managed to promote a new regulation of this type of school.

Provo Canyon School is understood to have previously been accused of beating, drugging and sexually abusing patients. In addition, in February 2021, Paris Hilton declared before Utah legislators that she suffered verbal, mental and physical abuse at said school on a daily basis.

The model assures that not only was she isolated and stripped of her human rights, but she was also forced to take medication without a prior diagnosis. For eleven months she did not see sunlight, nor did she have a chance to breathe fresh air.

In Provo, children were regularly held down, beaten, thrown against walls, strangled and sexually abused… I couldn’t report it because all communication with my family was monitored and censored.
