The Paris International Motor Show 2022 (Mondial de L’Auto, in French), also known as Paris Motor Show celebrates its 121st edition at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
The event in the French capital had its first day of programming restricted to the press on Monday (17th) and opened to the general public on Tuesday (18th), with activities that go on until Sunday (23rd).
In 2022, the fair comes with less force, with the absence of major manufacturers such as Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz, giving space to Chinese and local automakers. The attention of this issue turns to electric car models.
Brands such as Peugeot, Ford, Jeep, Citroën, Renault, L’Auto Concept will be present with car models of various types.
The production of all-electric vehicles – which do not consume fossil fuels – and hybrids this year has almost doubled with Renault’s European sales. Fabrice Cambolive, director of operations for the French brand present at the show, said that the presence of this type of vehicle will be at 40% in Europe by 2022.

The exhibition takes place every two years in different countries and is considered one of the most important automotive shows in the world, bringing together launches, improvements and rare exhibitions of vehicles from the main automakers in the world.
The Paris Motor Show 2016 received more than 1.2 million visitors – and has become the most visited automotive event in the world. In 2020, the event did not take place because of the coronavirus pandemic.
For this year’s edition, the slogan chosen was “La révolution est en marche”, or “the revolution is underway”, in free translation. The colorful poster represents, according to the exhibition’s organization, “a wind of optimism, with a new look at motorsport”.

Unconventional participants participate in this edition of the International Salon in Paris. On the occasion of the release of the movie “Bullet Perdida 2”, Netflix occupies a hall to show the R21 and Mégane RS cars, in a reproduction of the film’s set.
Warner Bros., meanwhile, is exhibiting a life-size replica of the “Batmoto” to publicize the October 21 release of the game Gotham Knights.
