Parliament: The debate on the “Clean-up of the Elefsina Shipyards” has begun in the Plenary

With the positions of the rapporteurs and expert buyers of the parties, the discussion and voting of the draft law of the Ministry of Development and Investments on the “Sanitation of the Elefsina Shipyards and other provisions of a developmental nature” began in the Plenary.

Also, three ministerial amendments have been submitted to the bill so far.

The first with regulations for the Presidency of the Government (Amendment of par. 6 of article 21 and par. 3 of article 23 of Law 4622/2019 2) and with regulations concerning the operation of the Panhellenic Medical Association and Medical Associations (Amendment of para. g) first paragraph of article 276 of law 4515/2018 – Application of paragraph 5 of article 278 of law 4512/2018).

The two other amendments concern provisions on matters of competence of the Ministry of Development and Investments. In particular, the first amendment of the Ministry of Economic Affairs has provisions for the Competition Commission, extension of deadlines for general meetings of legal entities for the year 2022. For the legalization of licenses to operate in the public market issued by the Prefecture of Eastern Attica in the years 2008 to 2009. For the suspension of duties of the President of the Council of Economic Experts as a faculty member. Arrangements for the operation of the Council of Economic Experts. Extension of the term of office of the President of SEO. For the Committee for determining the qualifications and certification of the members of the Register of Certified Taxpayers of EL.ID.EK. Transfer of a provision for the conditional income tax exemption of intra-group dividends received by a legal entity tax resident in Greece and dividends distributed to a legal entity tax resident in the United Kingdom for the tax year 2021. Extension of the deadline for submitting the application for the construction of buildings for the inclusion of tax suspension status.

The second amendment of the Ministry of Development and Investments has provisions regarding the expansion of bodies from which the members of the Evaluation Committees of investment projects may come (amendment of article 118 of Law 4887/22). Expansion of bodies from which the members of the Evaluation Committees can come. The authority to issue decisions to complete investment projects. The Extension of the deadline for payment of the share capital of “METAVASI SA”. The possibility of exercising the responsibilities of a Staff Structure (Amendment of par. 2 article 23 of Law 4914/2022). Arrangements of personnel matters and other matters of the Special Service for Just Developmental Transition. Arrangements for the construction of the Multipurpose Regional Clinic of Rahon.

The bill of the Ministry of Development and Investments for the “Sanitation of the Elefsina Shipyards and other provisions of a developmental nature” has been introduced in the Plenary by the Production and Trade Committee with the positive vote of the ND. In the Committee, SYRIZA, PASOK-KINAL and Hellenic Solution reserved their positions in today’s Plenary meeting, while KKE and MeRA 25 voted against it.
